Lake Side News
Our 16th Annual Dive Fest was the bomb – it was successful to say the least. In fact, it exceeded our expectations. We looked for 100 divers to participate in our Treasure Hunt, and 111 came to dive for treasure. We expected at least 50 divers to register for the night dive Scavenger Hunt, and 71 bought a ticket. These numbers were off the chart when compared to previous years; these almost doubled participation of last year.

Dive Fest was organized to support the Divers Alert Network (D.A.N.), and to support the divers (our customers) who frequent Lake Rawlings on a regular basis. It is our customer appreciation day for these divers. Lake Rawlings donated very valuable equipment as prizes.

Dive Fest raised $1,920.00 for D.A.N. this year, and Lake Rawlings donated an additional $580 to Divers Alert Network, with the grand total donated to this organization coming to $2,500.00.

We were so encouraged by the turnout that the Board of Directors of Lake Rawlings, have decided to up the ante for more prizes next year, and to sink coin doubloons instead of golf balls. Divers who find the most doubloons will be declared the winners; tie-breakers will be decided by time-in/time-out.

See you at the lake!!
