Scuba diving is a wonderful experience, but before you attempt it, you have to truly understand the equipment you will be using as you will trust your life to that equipment and your ability to control it. With a variety of style and brands, the scuba gear you choose depends on the kind of diving you plan to do, your level of competence and skill. Beginning or continuing divers should remember the most important consideration in gear selection is safety.
To scuba dive, you have to wear a properly fitting wet suit or dry suit, the style depending on water temperature, dive duration and type of diving you will be doing. You also have to breathe underwater therefore gages, regulator, possibly a computer and air cylinder that come in many sizes and types of metal. Your buoyancy device is often dictated by the type of diving and other equipment selections. Your mask, gloves, hood, boots, fins and other items that can be as unique as the individual using them. We always recommend that you try before you buy to ensure that your equipment selection will mean your dive experience now and in the future will be an awesome one and your money well spent.
Scuba diving can be a wonderful experience. Regardless of where you choose to purchase from let the Lake Rawlings staff help you make the right equipment selections before you jump in. Come on in and let’s talk about gear and show you what we use.
Lake Rawlings continues to improve services and facilities. Our newest initiative is to place shelters throughout the park. If you or your organization are always packing the canopy and tarp for a ground cover we may have a solution. We are installing carports with a concrete base and tables in many areas. If this sounds like something you would like to get involved in, something you would like to be able to reserve for your trip so that you need not be up at the crack
of dawn to reserve your spot then download
the attached flyer or give us a call.
